Terms and conditions

 

Prior to commencement of policy it is part of setting up the warranty that the customer should provide 1) an image of the full screen working 2) a picture of the model and serial number on the back of the TV, and 3) a picture of the same from the internal menus of the TV.  If it is not understood how to access point 3 then a member of staff at Toots TVs will assist you.  Toots TVs must be satisfied that the information provided is true. In the event of a callout and/or repair, Toots TVs possess software that reads serial numbers from components which must match the information provided.  If any of the information does not coincide with that recorded then Toots TVs has the right to revoke this warranty without refund. 

 

Repairs may be carried out on site or in the workshop.  Prior to this the customer will be liaised with by  telephone, as part of telephone support and/or initial diagnosis.  If remedies can be made at this point then that shall be deemed satisfactory.  If a repair is required then this may entail either an engineer visiting your address to carry out on site repairs.  It me be considered that a workshop repair is to be carried out.  In this event an engineer or our collection service will collect the tv to be brought into our workshops.  If it appears quicker or more convenient for the customer to bring in their tv to our workshops then that will be arranged accordingly. Toots TVs will not be liable for any damages caused as a result of the customer bringing in their tv by themselves to our workshops in this event. 

 

Toots TVs will make all reasonable attempts to repair your tv,  Similarly, parts will be sourced only if they are available.  If a part is no longer available, and for whatever reason, the tv is deemed unrepairable and/or beyond economical repair then this will be reported to the customer.  This is not an insurance policy and as such does not cover the total write off of a TV or accidental damaged.  Toots TVs are not obliged legally or contractually to repair the tv.  Toots TVs are however required to make all efforts and reasonable       attempts to repair the TV.  If a part for a TV cannot be sourced or is not available, Toots TVs are not obliged or liable to be responsible for no parts being available.  All repairs are conducted in a fair and     reasonable manner.  Those purchasing the warranty should exercise at law, a caveat emptor approach.

 

Broken screen are not covered by this warranty.

 

If at all possible, Toots TVs will if required provide a loan TV whilst the customer TV is being fixed.  This is not obligatory nor are Toots TVs legally liable to provide such.  Loan TV’s will be in short supply and may not be available so the customer is encouraged to make all reasonable attempts to substitute their TV themselves during the period of repair.  In the event a loan Tv is supplied this may be a different make, model and size to the one being fixed.  If a loan TV is supplied, and is damaged in any way during a period of loan, then Toots TVs holds the right to charge the customer for that loan TV.

 

Period of repair: Toots TVs will make very and all attempts to fix the customer TV in a reasonable period of time.  Such periods will depend upon time allocation and parts available.  Toots TVs are not legally required to repair and return the customer TV in any period of time.  However, Toots TVs are expected to exercise a quick as possible policy to all repairs, and as such will not extend a repair beyond what is considered as a reasonable timeframe.

 

Refunds: If for any reason a customer wishes to cancel their warranty, they have 14 days to do so.  If a  callout or repair is requested  by the customer in the first 14 days, and the customer wishes to cancel their policy within 14 days, Toots TVs holds the right to charge the customer for that repair, and is at the         discretion of Toots TVs.  After 14 days no refunds will be given for any reason.

 

Payment of warranty:  Payment for this warranty is made in whole and in advance of the commencement date by way of card or transfer.  Only once Toots TVs have received payment and the required            documentation will be warranty commence.  Toots TVs does not provide an instalment schedule for this warranty.
